Eligibility Criteria of IIM CAT Examination

Age Limit:

• There is no age limit to apply for the CAT examination conducted by IIMs.

Educational Qualification:

• The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s Degree.
• For General and EWS category candidates: At least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Bachelor’s Degree.
• For SC, ST, and PwD category candidates: At least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA in the Bachelor’s Degree.
• The degree should be awarded by a University or educational institution recognized by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India or declared to be deemed as a University under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, or possess an equivalent qualification recognized by the Ministry of Education, Government of India.

Final Year Students:

• Candidates appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination are eligible to apply.
