The Staff Section Commission (SSC) has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 26,146 vacancies for the position of Constable (General Duty) in various esteemed forces such as the Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Indo Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Secretariat Security Force (SSF), and Rifleman (General Duty) in Assam Rifles (AR). Eligibility Criteria of SSC Constable GD Recruitment
Nationality: Candidates must be citizens of India. Vacancies are state/UT-wise; therefore, candidates must submit domicile/PRC against their state/UT.
Age Limit: Candidates must be between 18 to 23 years of age as of January 1, 2024. Birthdates should fall between 02-01-2001 and 01-01-2006 under normal circumstances.
Age Relaxation: Permissible relaxations in the upper age limit for different categories are as follows:
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen: 3 years
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Matriculation or 10th Class Examination from a recognized Board/University.
Payment Mode: The application fee can be paid through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards. Alternatively, candidates can make the payment through cash in SBI Branches by generating an SBI Challan.

Selection Process of SSC Constable GD Vacancy
The selection process for SSC Constable GD Vacancy comprises the following stages:
a) Computer Based Examination (CBE):
- Candidates will participate in a Computer Based Examination to assess their knowledge and skills.
b) Physical Standard Test (PST):
- Qualified candidates from the CBE will undergo a Physical Standard Test to ensure they meet the required physical standards.
c) Physical Efficiency Test (PET):

d) Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination (RME):

Syllabus for the Computer Based Test (CBT) of SSC Constable GD Vacancy:
A) General Intelligence and Reasoning:
- Analytical aptitude and the ability to observe and distinguish patterns.
- Questions may include analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, figural classification, arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and decoding, etc.
B) General Knowledge and General Awareness:
- Testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment.
- Questions on current events and everyday observations and experience with a scientific aspect.
- Topics include sports, history, culture, geography, economic scene, general polity, Indian Constitution, scientific research, etc.
C) Elementary Mathematics:
- Questions related to Number Systems, Computation of Whole Numbers, Decimals and Fractions, and the relationship between Numbers.
- Fundamental arithmetical operations, percentages, ratio and proportion, averages, interest, profit and loss, discount, mensuration, time and distance, ratio and time, time and work, etc.
D) English/ Hindi:
- Testing candidates’ ability to understand basic English/ Hindi.
- Focus on basic comprehension skills.
Physical Standard Test (PST) for SSC Constable GD Vacancy

Medical Examination for SSC Constable GD Vacancy
Candidates who qualify for PST/PET will be shortlisted for a Detailed Medical Examination (DME).
