Eligibility Criteria for BEL Engineer Recruitment

Age Criteria as of February 1, 2024:

• For BE/B.Tech: Maximum age limit is 28 years.
• For ME/M.Tech: Maximum age limit is 30 years.

The specified upper age limit applies to candidates in the General & EWS Category.

Age Relaxation:

• OBC (NCL) candidates: 3 years
• SC/ST candidates: 5 years
• PwBD candidates (with a minimum 40% disability): 10 years (in addition to the relaxation applicable to OBC (NCL)/SC/ST candidates).

Educational Qualifications:

• B.E/B.Tech/M.E/M.Tech in Engineering (Electronics, Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Telecommunication, Telecommunication, Communication, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Science, Information Technology).
• Aggregate of all semesters/years: 55% and above for General, OBC (NCL), & EWS Candidates; Pass Class for SC/ST/PwBD (Person with Benchmark Disabilities).

Experience required:

a) Preferably, Trainee engineers with experience in providing IT support (PC maintenance, Network switch, and associated software hands-on experience), preferably as a site IT Engineer, will be given preference.

b) The Resident Engineer should be proficient in English and Hindi/Regional Language (reading, speaking, writing) wherever they are stationed.

Selection Procedure for BEL Recruitment 2024

The Selection Procedure for BEL Recruitment 2024 is mentioned below:

• Selection will proceed through a Written Test for shortlisted candidates, followed by an Interview, applicable only to those candidates who qualify in the Written Test. The venue for the Written Test/Interview will be communicated at a later stage.
• 85% of Marks will be allotted for the written test, while 15% of Marks will be allocated for the interview. Candidates who successfully pass the written test will be invited for an interview in a ratio of 1:5, based on merit, within each category.
