Other Eligibility Criteria of APSC Recruitment 2024
For citizenship, candidates must be Indian citizens according to Articles 5 to 8 of the Indian Constitution.
For residency:
- Candidates must be permanent residents of Assam.
- Candidates need to provide proof of residency such as a PRC issued in Assam for educational purposes or an Employment Exchange Registration certificate along with the application form.
Candidates need to meet the following criteria regarding computer knowledge:

- Possess a minimum of six months’ completed diploma/certificate in computer proficiency from a government-recognized institution in Assam. No breaks in qualification are allowed.
- Must have computing knowledge in both Assamese and English languages.
- Should have a good working knowledge of office productivity software tools, irrespective of any operating system (e.g., MS Windows, Linux, Mac, etc.). This includes proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, presentation graphics, content database, internet, and email.

- Employment Exchange Registration: Candidates need to be registered with any of the employment exchanges in Assam.
- Small Family Norms: Candidates are required to submit a declaration regarding adherence to “The Small Family Norms” by filling out Form-A when applying for the post.
- Residency Requirement: Candidates must be native inhabitants of Assam.
- Language Proficiency: Candidates should be able to speak Assamese or other official languages recognized by the state, including tribal languages.

Selection Process of APSC Recruitment 2024
The selection process for APSC Recruitment 2024 will be in two phases:
Phase I:
- Screening Test (OMR Based) worth 100 marks.
- General English: 40 marks
- General Theory: 40 marks
- General Awareness: 20 marks Total: 100 marks
Phase II:
- Computer Practical Test (including Speed Test) worth 100 marks.
Against each vacancy, four candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Screening Test. These shortlisted candidates must appear for the Computer Proficiency Practical Test in Guwahati, along with their original testimonials.
