- Remuneration: ₹12,000 per month (fixed)
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Nationality: Candidates must be Indian citizens and permanent residents of Assam. Selected candidates will be required to submit proof of residence after the final selection list is published.
- Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 25 years old as of 1st January 2024.

Selection Procedure for GMC Recruitment 2024
Candidates who submit correct applications will undergo the following selection process:
- Written Test: Candidates will first take a written test, which will carry a maximum of 50 marks.
- Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET):
- Physical Standard Test (PST): This test does not carry any marks. It involves measuring height, weight, and chest dimensions. The Medical Officer will also check for any physical deformities such as knocked knees, flat feet, vision issues, color blindness, or varicose veins. If a candidate has any physical deformity, they will be disqualified from further tests.
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who pass the PST will proceed to the PET, which carries a maximum of 40 marks.
- Personality Test/Viva Voce: Shortlisted candidates will then undergo a personality test or viva voce, which carries a maximum of 5 marks.
- Additional Marks: Candidates with Home Guard or NCC training in unarmed combat can earn an additional 5 marks.
