Eligibility Criteria of Indian Coast Guard Recruitment 2023

Here are the age limit and educational qualification details for the Indian Coast Guard recruitment:

Age Limit:

• Candidates should be between 18 years to 22 years old.
• Candidates must be born between 01 May 2002 to 30 Apr 2006 (both dates inclusive) for Navik (DB), Navik (GD), and Yantrik posts.

Age Relaxation:

• An upper age relaxation of 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (non-creamy) candidates is applicable only if posts are reserved for them.

Educational Qualification:

1. Navik (Domestic Branch):
   • Minimum Qualification: Class 10 passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
2. Navik (General Duty):
   • Minimum Qualification: 10+2 passed with Maths and Physics from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE).
3. Yantrik:
   • Minimum Qualification: Class 10th passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) and Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 03 or 04 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
   • Alternatively, Class 10 & Class 12 passed from an education board recognized by the Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) along with a Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical / Electronics/ Telecommunication (Radio/Power) Engineering of duration 02 or 03 years approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
