Eligibility Criteria of RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 Details

Age Limit: Candidates must ensure that their age falls within the range of 18 to 30 years as of July 1, 2024.

Age Relaxation: For candidates belonging to specific categories, the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) provides relaxation in the upper age limit:

• OBC-NCL: 3 years of relaxation
• SC/ST: 5 years of relaxation
• Persons with Disabilities (PWD): 10 years of relaxation plus additional relaxation for the respective category.
• Residents of Jammu & Kashmir (between 1980 and 1989): 5 years of relaxation.
• Candidates with Railway Industry Experience (casual laborers, substitutes, group “C” and former group “D” railway staff): 40 years of age (UR), 43 years of age (OBC-NCL), 45 years of age (SC/ST).
• Railway Company Employees in Quasi-Administrative Capacities: Up to the length of service rendered or 5 years, whichever is lower.
• Female Candidates who are widowed, divorced, or legally separated and not remarried: 35 years of age (UR), 38 years of age (OBC-NCL), 40 years of age (SC/ST).
• Candidates who completed an Act Apprentice course under the Apprenticeship Act before turning 25: 35 years of age (UR), 38 years of age (OBC-NCL), 40 years of age (SC/ST).

Educational Qualification: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

A) Possess Matriculation / SSLC along with ITI from recognized institutions of NCVT/SCVT in the following trades:

• Fitter
• Electrician
• Instrument Mechanic
• Millwright Maintenance Mechanic
• Mechanic Radio & TV
• Electronics Mechanic
• Mechanic Motor Vehicle
• Wireman
• Tractor Mechanic
• Armature and Coil Winder

OR

Matriculation / SSLC plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship in the trades mentioned above.

B) Possess a 3-year Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics / Automobile Engineering from a recognized institution.

A combination of various streams of these Engineering disciplines from a recognized Institution instead of ITI.

Medical Standard: A1 Physical Standard

Physically Fit in All Standards Vision Standard:

• Distant Vision: 6/6, 6/6 Without glasses with fogging test (must not accept +2D)
• Near Vision: Sn: 0.6, 0.6 Without glasses Candidates must pass tests for Color Vision, Binocular Vision, Field of Vision, Night Vision, Mesopic Vision, etc., to meet the required standards.

1. CBT I (Computer-Based Test I): Candidates first appear for Computer-Based Test I, which presumably evaluates their knowledge and aptitude for the ALP position.
