• Age Relaxation: There is relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories: SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years, and PWD candidates have a relaxation of 10 years.
• Educational Qualification: For the Indian Economic Service, candidates must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized university. For the Indian Statistical Service, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized university.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical standards as per the regulations given in Appendix III of the rules for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2024 published in the Gazette of India.
• Application Fee: General and OBC candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹200. However, SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment.
