UPSC IES ISS Notification Eligibility Criteria 2024
- Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 and 30 years of age as of 1st August 2024. The candidate should have been born not earlier than 2nd August 1994, and not later than 1st August 2003.
- Age Relaxation: There is relaxation in the upper age limit for certain categories: SC/ST candidates have a relaxation of 5 years, OBC candidates have a relaxation of 3 years, and PWD candidates have a relaxation of 10 years.
- Educational Qualification: For the Indian Economic Service, candidates must have a Post-Graduate Degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics from a recognized university. For the Indian Statistical Service, candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics as one of the subjects, or a Master’s degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics from a recognized university.
- Physical Standards: Candidates must meet the physical standards as per the regulations given in Appendix III of the rules for the Indian Economic Service/Indian Statistical Service Examination, 2024 published in the Gazette of India.
- Application Fee: General and OBC candidates are required to pay a fee of ₹200. However, SC/ST/Female/PWD candidates are exempted from fee payment.
