Assam Direct Recruitment Correction Information

State Level Recruitment Commissions (SLRC) has issued two notifications announcing the opening of a correction window for candidates who submitted Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) applications with incorrect details. The correction window will be accessible from 5th January 2024, starting at 11 AM, until 18th January 2024.

Correction Period:

  • The correction window is open from 11 AM on 5th January to 18th January 2024.

Process of Correction:

  • Candidates with incorrect details in their ADRE applications can use the correction window to rectify any mistakes.
  • The correction process will be conducted online.

Important Points:

  • Candidates who are satisfied with their submitted information and do not wish to make any changes are not required to take any action.
  • Certain details such as Candidate’s Registered Mobile No., Photograph, and Signature cannot be altered during this correction period.

Steps to Correct or Edit the ADRE Application Form

Candidates who wish to edit their Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) application form can follow these steps:

  1. Access Correction Section:
    • Scroll down to the “Important Links of ADRE Online Correction Form” section on the portal.
  2. Open Online Correction Form:
    • Click on the link provided for the Online Correction Form.
  3. Login Again:
    • Log in using your Application Number & Password.
  4. Navigate to Edit Profile Menu:
    • Click on the “Edit Profile” menu to initiate the correction process.
  5. OTP Verification:
    • An OTP (One-Time Password) will be sent to the candidate’s registered mobile number, and an OTP page will be displayed.
  6. Enter and Verify OTP:
    • Enter the received OTP for verification.
  7. Application Form Edit Mode:
    • The application form will be displayed in edit mode, allowing changes.
  8. Edit Name & Employment Registration ID:
    • To edit the Candidate’s Name & Employment Registration ID, instead of a direct edit option, a confirmation prompt will appear:
      • Do You Want to Change?
      • If clicked ‘Yes,’ a text box will be displayed for entering the correct Name or Employment Registration ID.
      • The new value will be saved as ‘Request Change,’ while the old values will be retained.
  9. Restrictions on Mobile No., Photograph, and Signature:
    • There will not be an option to change the Candidate’s Registered Mobile No., Photograph, and Signature. However, all other information can be edited, including preferential appointment details under the Assam Public Service (Preferential Appointment) Rules, 1999.
  10. Complete Edit:
    • After making the necessary edits, click on the ‘Update’ button.
  11. Print and Lock Profile:
    • A page will be displayed where the candidate can take a printout of their edited Application Form and lock the profile.
    • Once the profile is locked, further changes cannot be made.

Candidates are advised to review and edit their details carefully within the specified timeframe to ensure accuracy in their ADRE application.

These vacancies will be filled according to the rules set by the newly formed Assam Direct Recruitment Commission for Analogous Posts in Class III and Class IV Act 2021, and Assam Direct Recruitment for Class III and Class IV Analogous Posts Rules 2022.

Selection Process:

The selection process will involve a written test, followed by an interview or skill test, depending on the specific requirements of the post. Candidates may also need to appear for competence tests such as computer tests, stenography exams, or driving skill tests, among others, after the written exam.

Document Verification:

Selected candidates will be required to present all original testimonials during the document verification process. These documents include proof of age certificate, caste certificate (for candidates in the reserved category), education certificate, disability certificate (for candidates in the PWBD category), and Declaration in Form – “A” under Rule 5(1) of the Assam Public Services (Application of Small Family Norms in Direct Recruitment), Rules, 2019, for verification at a later date.

ADRE Merit List Preparation

The preparation of the merit list for the appointment against various categories of posts will be executed through the following stages:

  1. Marks Obtained in Written Examination:
    • A list of all candidates shall be prepared in order of merit based on the marks obtained in the written examination.
  2. Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • The Commission will determine minimum qualifying marks for General Candidates and Candidates belonging to different reserved categories from the marks obtained in the written examination.
    • This will be used to shortlist candidates for the next stage, i.e., Computer test/other test/practical tests, in a ratio decided by the Commission.
  3. Minimum Qualifying Marks for Computer Test/Other Test/Practical Test:
    • The Commission will establish minimum qualifying marks for the Computer test/other test/practical test.
  4. Eligibility for Selection:
    • Candidates securing less than the qualifying marks in the Computer test/other test/practical test shall not be eligible for selection.
  5. Final Merit List for Class III and IV Posts:
    • The final merit list for Class III and IV posts shall be based on the total marks obtained in the written examination and the Computer Test or Other Test or Interview.
