Objectives Of The Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme

The Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme for North Eastern Region is designed with the following objectives:

Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme Fellowship Details

Under the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme, eligible students will receive financial assistance to support their education. The fellowship amount is distributed as follows:

  • General Degree Courses: Students pursuing general degree courses will receive Rs. 5,400/- per month through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) to assist them in their studies.

Eligibility Criteria For Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme

To be eligible for the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Educational Institutes: Students with domicile of North Eastern Region (NER) who have passed Class XII or equivalent examination from a school situated within NER through any recognized Board of Education (including CBSE, ICSE, NIOS within NER only) and have secured admission in general degree courses, technical and professional courses, including medical and paramedical courses (integrated courses included) in Universities/Colleges/Institutions recognized under:
    • Universities/Institutions/Colleges included under Section 2(f) and 12 (B) of UGC Act.
    • Deemed to be Universities included under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956 and eligible to receive grants-in-aid from UGC.
    • Universities/Institutions/Colleges funded by Central/State Government.
    • Institutes of National Importance.
    • Institutions recognized by other Statutory councils within as well as outside the NER.
  • Class: Only first-year Undergraduate students are eligible to apply for the scholarship.
  • Course: For integrated degree courses, the scholarship will be tenable for the complete duration of the course. For dual degree courses, the scholarship shall be tenable for the first degree only. The university shall clarify it while recommending a candidate for the scholarship.
  • Family Income: The annual income of the student’s parents should not exceed Rs. 4.5 lakh per annum to avail of the scholarship.
  • Reservation: Transgender candidates are eligible to apply under the scheme, and reservations shall be followed as per Government of India norms.

Exclusions of the Ishan Uday Scholarship Scheme

  4. Note down Student Application ID: After registration, your Student Application ID will be displayed. Note down this ID for future reference and click on Continue.
  5. Login: Use your User ID and the Password sent to your registered mobile number to log in. Verify the Captcha and click Login.
